Kim Traverse
- Title: Lead Interior Designer
As an interior designer, Kim creates unique interiors that have a positive impact on both student and staff lives. With a BA in Interior Design from Ohio University and over 25 years of experience, she has a well trained eye for quality, craftsmanship, furnishings and textiles, and creates crisp, timeless style and designs that remain fresh year after year. She offers a balance of creativity, collaboration and forward thinking with a structured, organized and detailed mentality; which enables her to deliver great designs that accommodate the needs and expectations of the end users.
Skilled at creating beautiful designs under a variety of budgets, styles, timeframes, and requirements, she remains committed to cultivating valued relationships and helping Student Life departments reach the best version of their overall vision. For each space, Kim develops a program of requirements, which includes space planning, budgeting and estimating. She then creates the construction documents including interior architectural detailing, finish and furniture specifications and ordering items to complete the project. As a Project Manager, she also does move coordination and sees the project to completion.
Kim is a NCIDQ Certificate Holder and is a member of AUID. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking as well as spending time with her husband and daughter camping and exploring.
